London Brass

The tradition of English music is often most perfectly enjoyed through its performers. Intriguing and yet always seducing us, oozing from Purcell, Nyman, Osborne or the Beatles, that typically British irony, made of humour and bizarre elegance, can be felt.

LONDON BRASS, that typically British Chamber Music Orchestra, perfectly perpetuate the heritage.

A dozen musicians, all brass, all solo performers in great Londoner orchestras, form its core (the group can vary from a quintet to 16 instruments).

The quality of the performers is underlined by the amazingly wide range of their repertory – from Gabrielli to John Lennon, Britten, Porter, Brahms, Nyman and many others.

Only pleasure, the pride they take in their talent and their love for music unite them. This could indeed be an adequate definition of Baroque music nowadays.

A sort of “classical” reflection on World Music?

LONDON BRASS is a group portrait, where the group is much more than a mere addition of the individuals!

Talent’s magic!
